Spring triathlete swim program (open water prep)

Your first race is on the horizon. Now is the time to prepare for the specific demands of your swim event. A good swim is competitive, straight, and energy efficient.

This is a pool based program that will prepare you for getting into open water. The open water is still too cold right now. This program is the perfect bridge to get you ready for your first open water swims & events this summer. Get ahead of the curve.

Strong technique enables even pacing, a straight swim, and the most efficient Triathlon swim leg that gets you out of the water sooner and with less energy deficit.

Focus areas:

  • Sighting
  • Drafting
  • Pacing & power development
  • Efficient technique

Designed for ALL PACES and experience levels, this 8 session course will improve your comfort, strength and skills in open water. We will have 4 lanes of a 25 yard pool dedicated to the class so that there is adequate space for swimmers of all abilities.

Participants will receive individualized feedback, and in addition to weekly group sessions, will be provided with two additional swim workouts to do on your own to reinforce skills learned in class.

All participants must be able to swim 400 yards continuously.
