Winter Indoor FTP Builder program

Do you struggle to remain motivated to ride the bike through the Winter? Are you seeking a significant jump in your cycling performance for 2024? Would you like to understand more about your own cycling limiters and participate in a structured cycling development program? Blast through the cold depths of winter cycling in a group environment, working together, suffering together, and being coached through your workouts and come into the season with a stronger base than ever before.

This popular indoor, Zwift based program is designed specifically for those seeking to improve their cycling power, mechanics, and endurance. Athletes will gain an understanding of their specific strengths and weaknesses and track their progress throughout the program through regular testing protocols. The principal focus will be to boost FTP, V02Max, & cycling stamina in preparation for race specific training that begins in the Spring.

Group workouts (3 per week) are interactive, no drop rides, with discussion of training concepts and goals from a professional cycling coach. Solo workouts are also prescribed each week. Athletes will be guided through a specific progression of bike workouts and individual testing. The program will establish a robust base that is relevant to cyclists competing in multiple cycling disciplines and triathletes competing in a variety of triathlon distances. Athletes will be streamed based upon their existing athletic capabilities so that athletes of varying levels of fitness are supported. The program culminates with a virtual race/group ride event as a way to test new skills & abilities.

Requirements: Athletes will require a Zwift subscription, Power Meter and/or Smart Trainer, Standard Trainer with speed/cadence sensors to enroll in this program. Should you have questions regarding your technology please contact Coach Peter prior to enrolling in the program.

3 Group training sessions/wk + solo workouts:

  • Online: Zoom & Zwift sessions
  • Tuesday morning: @ 6:30 am (Online)
  • Thursday evening bike @ 7:00 pm (Online)
  • Sunday morning bike @ 8:00 am (Online)

Program plan:

  • Season plan streaming athletes into different training progressions based upon:
    • Current fitness
    • Progress through the program
  • Weekly detailed training plan
    • Daily workout email
    • Mobile App access via Training Peaks
    • Daily solo workouts including cycling, running, strength & cross-training
  • Sport specific field testing to monitor progress and set training zones
    • Heart rate
    • Power

Unlimited coach contact:

  • Unlimited contact with your coach via email and text
  • One on One coach contact @ scheduled group training sessions

Team Discord server:

  • Closed server for groups announcements
  • Access to all Startline Coaching presentations, Videos & other resources
  • Group chat

Note: **A credit card processing fee of 3% will be assessed if a credit card is used for payment. Zelle payments are available without a processing fee. No USAT one-day waiver fee will be assessed for this program. No refunds are available for this program.

Refund Policy:

The registration fee for group programs is non-refundable except under the following circumstances.

Program Cancellation: Should your program be cancelled, you will be refunded your registration fee.

Registration Transfers: You may request to transfer your registration to a friend or a person on the waitlist should you no longer wish to attend. To request a transfer, contact Head Coach Peter at You will be given a link to transfer your registration. A refund will be processed upon successful transfer of your registration to another registrant minus a $50 transfer fee.

These policies do not cover any other costs incurred by the registrant, such as travel, USAT fees, and lodging.
