Group Training

Startline Coaching offers a variety of group training programs with a variety of sports focuses. All group training programs are USAT Sanctioned and oriented toward both & experienced endurance athletes. The group dynamic maintains motivation and builds camaraderie as all athletes support each other.

Whether you are looking to qualify for Elite competition, race further or faster, or simply get back in the game, Startline Coaching programs offer something for you. All programs support a wide range of ages, and levels of athleticism. Both men & women are equally supported in their development. Success is all about consistency and sport specific knowledge. Expect to be challenged and to come out of the program a more knowledgeable athlete.

The culture of Startline Coaching programs is one of mutual support and recognition of each individuals specific gifts, talents, and path of development.  Being out there is valued and having fun is the key. There is a reason why there is so much grinning in the pictures on this web site!

Off Season
Strength/Run
Program

  • Duration: 11 weeks

  • Ends: 1/19/20
  • Location: Prospect Park
  • Weekly training plan via Training Peaks
  • 2 coached workouts/week
  • Daily solo workouts

Focus:

  • Endurance base
  • Cross training
  • Core strength
  • Testing & training zone development
  • Best practice nutrition
  • Run speed
  • Prep for 2020 training season.

Program ends with a target 10K or 10 Mile benchmark race event in January 2020.

Off Season
Triathlete Swim
Program

  • 9 coached sessions
  • Starts: 11/7/19
  • Ends: 1/16/20
  • Location: Medgar Evers College
  • Weekly Training Plan via Training Peaks
  • 1 coached workout/week
  • 2 solo workouts

Focus:

  • Small group (Max 12)
  • Technique
  • Testing & training zone development
  • Pacing control
  • Endurance

Program is targeted to triathletes who want to improve technique, pace control, and endurance. Enrolling athletes must be able to continuously swim 200 yards.

Spring
Triathlon
Program

  • Duration: 22 weeks
  • Starts: 1/18/20
  • Ends: 6/20/20
  • Location: Prospect Park
  • Weekly Training plan
  • 2 group workouts/week
  • Daily solo workouts

Focus:

  • Skill, power, & endurance development in all 3 sports
  • Race pacing & fueling
  • Note: No direct swim instruction


Program ends with a target Sprint, Olympic, or Half Ironman triathlon event in late May/early June 2020


Note: *An additional $15 USAT waiver fee will be assessed for NON USAT members. Target race registration fees, accommodation, and other associated racing costs are not included in the fee for this training program.
